The IAB NZ Awards were held at MOTAT on 30th August, and This Side Up had two big wins! Extremely proud to receive the ‘Best Use of Data’ and ‘Search Sales Excellence’ Awards against some really strong competition.
At This Side Up, our success is generally measured by the success of our clients – but, because it’s always nice to get recognition from our peers as well, it was especially pleasing to walk away from the 2018 IAB NZ Awards with two big prizes!
And because our awards for Best Use of Data and Search Sales Excellence came against shortlisted brands such as NZME, GrabOne and Yahoo! Platforms (heard of them before?), they also demonstrate that our team’s dedication to understanding our clients and finding increasingly smarter ways for both us and them to work, make us a genuine standout player in New Zealand’s fast-paced and constantly evolving interactive advertising industry.
We’re especially pleased to have won awards in these two categories because they speak to the exact features that we believe set This Side Up apart: creative thinking, innovation, and the ability to go the extra 20% to really get to know the businesses we work alongside.
The judges highlighted these specific aspects of This Side Up, when delivering their decisions:
Best Use of Data:
“This Side Up provided a very thorough entry. They clearly demonstrated intelligent use of data to bring about a competitive advantage for the client. Their data strategy drove the campaign’s success: achieving and exceeding ROI targets.”
Search Sales Excellence:
“This Side Up won because they put in place an SEM strategy to allow space to learn the business and associated marketing challenges. Insights gained paved the way to a new innovative search strategy restructure which has led to higher lead volumes, better lead management, lower costs per leads.”
It’s also telling that Andrew Crowe, the lead team member in the project that earnt us the Best Use of Data award, was also a shortlisted finalist for IAB NZ’s Rising Star of New Zealand Digital, thanks to his fresh, intuitive and entrepreneurial approach to handling data and changing the way New Zealand businesses use digital technology. Great stuff Andrew!
